Ray Desara Engine Collection Move - Lots Of Help Needed!

After our spring show we need to get going on the Kent engine collection move. Tentative first date is May 15-16 weekend. We will need to disconnect plumbing, figure out crane pick points, disconnect cooling and gas tanks, and possibly take some of the small engines, mags, oilers, etc that will fit in the back of a truck. I will be getting in touch with Ray to make sure this date works. Anyone interested in helping can respond here or contact me at:

Robert,

Off the top of my head i would say some tools... i imagine we would need wrenches, pipe wrenches, sawzall. etc.
Conner will prob have his truck so he has a good selection also.

I will help both days.  I can swing by the farm and pick up anyone who wants a ride from the Colchester area.  We can work out a departure time if anyone is interested.

Hey all,

Finally got a hold of Ray and told him of my plans. He said he thought there might be their spring engine show around that time so he would look into it and get back to me. I'm still aiming for the 15-16, not sure at this point if it will be one day or both - have to see what Ray feels like. The next weekend would be fine for me as well if the initial date doesn't work.

The general plan is for the first day or two to disconnect plumbing, decide on pick points on engines for the crane, and possibly drag some smaller stuff out. Bring your own tools - pipe wrenches, angle grinder, sawzall, drill driver and bits, regular wrenches, bars, etc. We won't need too many people the first day or two for disconnecting, but it will be a busy day when haul day comes!

We are on for Saturday the 15th, and depending how much we get done, sunday the 16th as well. Start at 9:00. We need about 5 people for this work party. I'll be there one or both days as needed. Who else can I expect to be there?
